One of the things Long Island, NY is well known for is it's "Gold Coast".   From the 1890's until after World War II, Long Island was one of the places the super rich flocked to.  Over several decades wealthy families built lavish, pretentious estates.  Post WW II, many of those homes were sold off or taken over by local government.  One such estate is Coindre Hall in Huntington, Long Island.

Dogs Love The Beach!

Ahh, the Dog Days of Summer.  One of the highlights of Summer is taking my dogs to the beach!  My dogs love the beach.  Dog welcoming beaches can be great fun and great exercise for dogs.  This morning I took Icy to a  nearby dog friendly beach.  What fun we had!!  Here are a few photos of me and Icy cooling our paws off at the seashore!

We love the great outdoors, and so do our dogs!  We like nothing better than taking our dogs on outdoor adventures like hiking, camping, or going to beach.  They love to run through bushes, swim in lakes & ponds, hunt for critters in tall grass, and roll around in wet sand by the ocean.

Dogs love to frolic along the seashore with their faithful humans at their side.  Along with all the exciting stuff to discover along the shore are dangers to watch out for!
